India is the second most populous country in the world standing at 1.25 billion (2013) people, but India’s illiterate population is the largest in the world according to the UNESCO report. It is said that the poverty and crime are directly proportional to each other.  To feed their hunger these people get diverted on the path of theft and violence. And we all know that poverty is the result of unemployment. Delhi the capital of India with the population of 1.7 crore (2011) is also being called a crime capital as the rate of unemployment here is even less than the national unemployment rate in the urban area.

These camps have been especially setup for the unskilled forces that are struggling to find suitable jobs and hence are unemployed. These are the people who did not have sufficient means to study and are uneducated. This is a great effort to provide better means of living to these people who are living below poverty line. The camps help these people by providing them variety of unskilled jobs, which they can handle according to their interest. The aim is to eradicate the problem of unemployment by getting them a suitable work and underemployment by ensuring fair wages.

Delhi is the city which has the highest flow of migrants every year, who come here in search of jobs. According to a report by Indian Institute of Human Settlement (IIHS), the two largest streams of migration to urban India are from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi and from Bihar to Delhi. Each of these streams consists of over 3 lakh people.
